Epoxy Primer with Vapor Barrier
Two-component tinted epoxy primer. Designed to protect various surfaces (concrete, brick, stone, plaster, ceramics, wood, plywood, fiberglass, etc.) from environmental exposure, mechanical load, and aggressive chemicals. When applied on concrete floors, it reduces dust formation and improves appearance. Creates an effective vapor barrier when preparing the surface for further coating with epoxy, polyaspartic (requires degreasing and matting), or other resins. Forms a suitable base layer for decorative finishing.
Properties:
- Grey color for tone leveling
- Good penetration into the surface
- High moisture resistance
- Forms a vapor barrier
- Prepares the surface well for epoxy floor casting
- Resistant to aggressive chemical exposure
Application:
The surface must be clean, dry, and solid. Concrete surfaces must be mechanically strong (compressive strength not less than 2 N/mm²) and have moisture content not exceeding 45%. Concrete must be uniform, preferably without modifying additives. Mix Component No.1 and Component No.2 thoroughly in a 1:1 weight ratio. Maximum batch size: 10 kg. Apply with a brush or roller. On concrete surfaces, apply no earlier than 28 days after concrete installation. Optimal application temperature: +15 to +25°C. Clean all tools and equipment immediately with an acetone-based thinner.
Drying time:
Initial adhesion: 30–40 minutes at +20–25°C
Curing time: approx. 24–48 hours – epoxy casting can be performed
Full cure: after 7 days
Consumption:
For surfaces with medium absorbency: 5–8 m² per 1 liter.
Storage:
Store in original packaging at +5°C to +25°C. Shelf life – see packaging.
