Epoxy Sand – Component No.1 (Resin Composition with Sand)

Medium‑viscosity, modified epoxy resin composition with added sand. Used as part of a two‑component system (Component No.1 – resin composition with sand, Component No.2 – hardener) designed for creating durable, textured floor coatings on various surfaces – concrete floors, dry‑shake concrete floors, stairs, walkways, and other coverings. Can also be used for repairing various mineral surfaces, including concrete and cement mixtures. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, on horizontal and vertical surfaces. Creates an excellent anti‑slip surface.

PROPERTIES:

  • Forms an anti‑slip surface
  • Good adhesion to various substrates
  • Contains no organic solvents
  • Odourless
  • Short curing time
  • Very high hardness and abrasion resistance
  • Resistant to chemical agents
  • High‑quality tinted filler

APPLICATION: The substrate must be clean, solid, and slightly rough. Surface moisture must not exceed 45%; at higher moisture levels, the material may change colour and adhesion may decrease. Apply on concrete surfaces no earlier than 28 days after concrete placement. Components No.1 and No.2 must be thoroughly mixed in the correct weight ratio 12:1. The weight of one mixed batch should not exceed 10 kg. Optimal coating thickness: 3–5 mm, maximum 20 mm. Optimal application temperature: +15 to +25°C; at higher temperatures, curing time will decrease. Before application, it is recommended to prime the surface with STAFOR epoxy primer. Tools and equipment must be cleaned immediately after use with an acetone‑based solvent.

DRYING TIME: Initial tack: 30–60 minutes at +20°C to +25°C. Curing time: approx. 24–48 hours, full cure after 7 days.

STORAGE: Store in original packaging at +5°C to +25°C. Shelf life is indicated on the packaging.
