DEKORATIVE FLAKES – CHIPS FOR EPOXY
Decorative flakes (chips, flakes) are a specially designed additive material for epoxy, polyurethane and polyaspartic floor systems, providing both aesthetic and functional benefits. The flakes are applied into the fresh resin layer, creating a visually appealing, uniform and durable coating.
Product description: Decorative flakes (chips) are intended to enhance floor design and mask substrate imperfections. They give the surface a dynamic, multicolored effect while improving the mechanical properties of the coating. The flakes provide additional anti-slip properties, which is important for public areas, garages, warehouses and other high‑traffic zones.
Properties:
- Aesthetic appearance – gives the floor a decorative, multi‑dimensional visual effect.
- Masks surface imperfections – hides uneven areas, scratches and substrate defects.
- Anti‑slip properties – improves safety, especially in wet or high‑load areas.
- Compatible with epoxy, polyurethane and polyaspartic systems.
- Easy to apply – flakes are easily scattered into the fresh resin primer layer.
- Chemically and mechanically resistant when used with a suitable protective topcoat.
Application:
- Epoxy floors in garages, workshops, warehouses.
- Commercial spaces, offices, public areas.
- Private garages and technical rooms.
- Decorative coatings on concrete and other mineral substrates.
Use: The flakes are applied into the fresh epoxy or polyurethane primer layer by evenly scattering them across the entire surface. After curing, excess flakes are removed with a scraper and the surface is coated with a transparent protective layer – epoxy or polyaspartic – ensuring durability and easy maintenance.
Consumption: Depends on the desired visual effect. Light flake effect: 0.05–0.075 kg/m². Dense flake effect: 0.25–0.35 kg/m². Full flake coverage: 1–1.25 kg/m².
Storage: In original packaging. Shelf life is unlimited.
